Dragon Warrior - Tiger Wizard
Warlock Roc - Bat Alchemist
The Mad Dungeon podcast has two formats. First, members of Epic Levels and a guest from the RPG community create a system-neutral, playable one-page adventure map using improv, comedy, and lifetimes wasted on roleplaying games. They then publish and release these adventures as a PDF through their Patreon and for free on this very site. They also release Side Quest episodes where the hosts discuss games they’ve played and gaming news.

This week Zach runs a new Call of Cthulhu 7E modern adventure for his friends and is enjoying the new Hogwarts Legacy game. We discuss how both Lovecraft and Rowling are problematic and how that impacts our enjoyment of the worlds they created.
Both Steve and Andrew discuss the finale of their two year long D&D 5E campaign where they fought the Tarrasque, pulled an Ocean’s Eleven-style heist and defeated the big bad, a modded up Ancient Green dragon and her spellcasting banker.
The team is gearing up for Gary Con 2023, and Steve will be running games using our Season Two Mad Dungeon rooms and The Armor Classy CDungeon using Old School Essentials (OSE).

This episode is sponsored by Exalted Funeral, and we talk about Creatures of the Dying World 3 by Jonny Bloozit, a MÖRK BORG compatible bestiary, with lavishly illustrated monsters and an emphasis on folklore over combat stats. These monsters are easily convertible to any system, and designed to function as plot devices and writing prompts to spur your imagination.
Our personal favorites were the Gray Man (a creepy doppleganger), Headsman (bugs that talk through your severed head in their mouths), and the fyrwurm (give your player a Tremors vibe with this huge lava worm).
